14th Annual Cine Magnífico Spanish-Language Film Festival: La Resistencia se borda a mano/Resistance is Woven by Hand Saturday, September 12, 2026 6:30 – 7:15 pm NHCC | Bank of America Theatre Resistance Is Woven By Hand is a moving documentary by the Tamachij Chihuatl Collective of Hueyapan, in the northeastern mountains of the Mexican state of Puebla. Through the voices of Nahua women artisans, the film celebrates more than four decades of collective work preserving traditional textile techniques while strengthening their community, cultural identity, and economic independence. A tribute to resilience, craftsmanship, and the power of women working together. In Macehual (Nahuatl) with Spanish subtitles.
