The North Shore Arts Association welcomes you to experience a solo exhibition of works by North Shore Arts member, Andrew Anderson-Bell, on view from July 16 – August 2, 2026. Andrew Anderson-Bell is a New England–based representational landscape artist who works primarily in pastel. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he discovered his passion for pastel after encountering an inspiring exhibition two decades ago, drawn to the medium’s immediacy, vibrant color, and expressive mark-making. A lifelong summer resident of North Haven Island, Maine, and also based in Ipswich, Massachusetts, he paints landscapes inspired by the islands of Penobscot Bay and the North Shore’s beaches, marshes, and farmland. Working intuitively from memory, sketches, and photographs, he creates evocative scenes that capture the mood, movement, and changing light of nature rather than exact replicas of place. More of Andrew’s work can be found on his website, anderson-bellstudio.com.
