Join us for an unforgettable evening as MAC Award and Lucille Lortel Award winner Darnell Whitereunites with New York’s premier host and Vibe Queen, Diva LaMarr, to celebrate Darnell’s original music. Featuring songs Darnell has written since the beginning of the 21st century, the evening will take audiences on a musical journey through his unique voice as a composer, performer, and storyteller. Some songs are autobiographical—although Diva might tell you they were all written for her. We’ll let you be the judge. DARNELL WHITE A native of Harlem, New York, Darnell White is a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and The Juilliard School. A celebrated performer, composer, musical director, and vocal coach, Darnell has collaborated with artists including Melba Moore, Brian McKnight, Art Garfunkel, and Ron Carter and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, 54 Below, Birdland, and other major New York venues. He has served as Musical Director for the Off-Broadway productions Revelation and Pray, for which he received a Lucille Lortel Award. Darnell is also a MAC Award winner for Best Downtown Piano Bar Instrumentalist. DIVA LAMARR (they/she) Diva LaMarr is an award-winning NYC performer, cabaret headliner, and host whose career has taken her from stages across the country to the high seas. Recent highlights include starring as Audrey II in the groundbreaking reimagining of Little Shop of Horrors and as the Emcee in Cabaret. Diva has headlined venues including The Nines and The Special Club and has appeared at Lincoln Center and in concerts for the Mabel Mercer Foundation and American Songbook Association. A recipient of the 2021 Julie Wilson Award, Diva currently hosts Broadway’s Night Off every Monday at Madame George. VENUE DETAILS All Sales Are Final. No Refunds Pangea is New York’s iconic restaurant / cabaret dinner theater. All shows have a $20 food and/or beverage minimum per person (unless otherwise indicated on your ticket.) Tickets online are $30 for General Admission.. Tickets at the door, if available, are $35 (Cash Only). The house opens at 6:00pm for food and beverage service. Please note the ticket price goes mostly to the performers and production staff. The club sells food and beverages to continue to bring live music to NYC.
