Join Metropolitan Opera singers Claire Kuttler and Chelsea Shephard for a delightful evening of music, film, and storytelling as they explore some of cinema’s most memorable operatic moments. Featuring the music of Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, and more, the evening will revisit beloved scenes from films such as Moonstruck, Pretty Woman, The Shawshank Redemption, and beyond. CLAIRE KUTTLER SOPRANO Praised for her “glistening torrents of sound” (Opera News), Iowa native Claire Kuttler is a lyric soprano enjoys a varied career on the operatic, recital and concert stage. Recent engagements include Soprano Soloist in the Verdi Requiem with Holy Trinity Schola Cantorum (NYC), Krysia in Jake Heggie’s Two Remain: Out of Darkness with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème with Anchorage Opera, and Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Bel Cantanti Opera. Since 2017, Claire has been engaged with the world renowned Metropolitan Opera Chorus, performing in 20+ productions with the company. She will also perform with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus in several concerts throughout in their upcoming 2026-2027 season. Claire resides in New York City and holds degrees with honors from the Mannes College of Music (Professional Studies Diploma), the University of Maryland, College Park (M.M.) and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (B.M.). For more information please visit: www.clairekuttler.com CHELSEA SHEPHARD SOPRANO Praised for her “rich and vibrant artistry,” soprano Chelsea Shephard joined the full-time Metropolitan Opera Chorus for the 2022-2023 season after three seasons as an Extra Chorister. She first appeared with the company as Eurydice in composer Matthew Aucoin’s 2018 workshop presentation. The Michigan native made her solo Carnegie Hall debut in Brahms’ Requiem and quickly returned for Smyth’s The Prison (NY premiere). With New York Festival of Song, her repertoire spanned from Bel Canto/Can Belto to Protest Songs to Bernstein’s Songfest. She has also appeared with the Madison Bach Musicians as a soloist for six seasons in a wide variety of repertoire, including Bach’s B Minor Mass and Rameau’s Pygmalion. Operatic roles include Beth (Little Women), title roles (La Calisto, Dido and Aeneas, L’incoronazione di Poppea), and Mozart’s Pamina and Susanna with companies such as Madison Opera, Opera Grand Rapids, Haymarket Opera, and Madison Bach Musicians. Hailing from Kalamazoo, MI, she is graduate of Rice University (M.M), and DePaul University (B.M.). VENUE DETAILS All Sales Are Final.
