Saturday, December 13, 2025 | 9 am-12 pm, meet near the old “Bear Grotto” in Point Defiance Park Register online via MyImpact Help behind the Bear Grotto at Point Defiance Park and give back to your community by caring for this important area in the park. The Bear Grotto is a beautiful spot, but pesky weeds are trying to take over. Remove invasive blackberries, thistles, and other unwanted weeds to improve the health of the habitat, care for newly planted native plants and learn about local ecology and restoration practices. All ages and abilities welcome, no experience necessary. Tools and training will be provided. Dress for the weather. Work party will take place rain or shine. Restrooms are available at the park.
