CALL FOR ENTRY – FALL 2026 6×6 Community Art Show

YOU are invited to enter our 13th biannual 6×6 Community Art Show! When is the show? The show will be displayed in the gallery during the months of October and November 2026. How do I enter? To enter, stop in at pARTiculars to register and pick up your 6”x6” wood cradle board. Can I enter more than one piece? Yes. One cradle board is $20. The second one is $10. Depending on the number of entries, you will be guaranteed to have at least one piece hung, with the other in reserve to replace pieces that sell. What is the deadline to enter? Artwork must be dropped off by September 27th. Following the show, any unsold art must be picked up by December 7th. What can I create? The sky is the limit as long as you use the provided cradle board. Paint, draw, collage, mixed media, 3D, diorama, back or front. We can’t wait to see what you do! Can my piece extend beyond the 6×6 cradle board? We ask that you do not extend your piece more than an inch beyond the sides of your (8”x8” maximum) including framing if you choose to frame. Do I need to provide hanging hardware? The cradle boards as they are hang easily on a simple nail. If your piece is heavy or has extended sides, or in some other way unwieldy you may want to add hanging hardware. Do I have to sell my finished piece? Yes! You are free to price your artwork however you like, but your piece must be for sale, Please note that we do this show to build community, for artists to meet others during the reception and to provide a place for artists to show off their talents. How much does it cost? It costs $20 to enter one piece of artwork, which includes the cradle board for you to create on. One additional cradle board can be purchased for $10. We use the money collected to cover marketing, cradle board purchases, reception and awards expenses. How much will I make on any piece sold? You will receive 70% of the asking price of any piece we sell for you. You will receive the payment mid month after the month it sells. Are there any subject matters that are off limits? We encourage creativity, however, do discourage lewd, or overtly violent subject matter as this is a family event. We reserve the right to turn away any pieces we deem inappropriate.
