August is the perfect time to appreciate and draw deciduous trees. Each kind of tree has their own unique structure. We will start with learning/reviewing the basic drawing techniques for drawing 3-dimensional trunks and branches. Then we will learn about the structure of the different kinds of trees and tips on how to create that look. The teacher will provide handouts and photo references for students to take home after class. Trees are one of nature’s beautiful sculptures! With the tips and tricks from April everyone can learn to draw trees! Bring to class: Bring a 9”x12” spiral bound sketchbook, a graphite pencil or set of pencils, sharpener, white eraser. If you get a set of pencils make sure there is an “H” pencil as well as “B” pencil. Do not get charcoal pencils.
