Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp: Rapunzel

Missoula Children’s Theatre: Rapunzel Peoples Bank Theatre is excited to welcome back the Missoula Children’s Theatre for a one-week children’s theatre camp this summer. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to the performing arts through a full theatre experience, from auditions and rehearsals to a live performance on the Peoples Bank Theatre stage. Children entering 1st through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. It is free for children to audition and participate in this camp. Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Rapunzel from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at Peoples Bank Theatre, located at 222 Putnam Street in Marietta, Ohio. Those auditioning should arrive at 10:00 a.m. and plan to stay for the full two-hour audition. Most of the students selected for the cast will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Approximately 50 to 60 roles are available for local students. All students entering 1st through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students will rehearse approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes each day, from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10. The production team will provide the specific rehearsal schedule after auditions are held on Monday, July 6. The performance is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at Peoples Bank Theatre. Show Synopsis The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents Rapunzel, an original musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale. When Rapunzel finds herself locked away in a tower, her story becomes one of adventure, imagination, and discovery. With a cast of colorful characters, plenty of music, and the creativity of local students, this production brings a familiar tale to life in a fun and family-friendly way. In just one week, local children will audition, rehearse, and perform a full musical production on the historic Peoples Bank Theatre stage.
