About this event
One of 15 upcoming events at Print Center New York, and 5,040 across New York City.
We invite you to attend a curator-led tour of William Majors: Making a Mark at the Shirley Fiterman Art Center at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). The exhibition surveys Majors’s activities and contributions across the 1960s and 70s, with emphasis on his printmaking practice. Central to this focus is Majors’s involvement in Spiral, a collective of Black artists founded in 1963, working against the backdrop of the Civil Rights Movement. This event is open to Print Center New York Members at the Contributor level and above. Image Credit: "Ghetto, 7th Ave & 30th St," NYC, 1975.
