Machine Sewing, Level II: Make Your Own Tote Bag – Saturday October 10, 10am-12pm

Ready for a bigger sewing project? In this class, your child will use a sewing machine from start to finish to create a fully custom tote bag they designed themselves. They’ll choose their own fabric, decorate the outside of their bag, and attach canvas handles for a finished piece they’ll actually want to carry. This is a Level 2 class, built for kids who already have some machine sewing experience under their belt. While she launched Slash Alterations in 2014 to offer professional sewing services, her true passion lies in passing on the timeless art of sewing to the next generation. Over the past five years, Ashley has hosted sewing classes at multiple schools, helping kids discover the joy of creating with their hands. She believes sewing builds more than just skills—it fosters confidence, patience, and creativity in every child. Through her classes, Ashley is committed to creating a welcoming, encouraging environment where young learners can develop practical skills and a lifelong love for craftsmanship.
