In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting while exploring essential techniques such as blending colors, mixing custom palettes, and using dry brush techniques to create texture and depth. This class is perfect for those new to watercolor or anyone looking to refresh their skills in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. Meet the Teacher: Susan Lowcavage Sue has enjoyed drawing and painting since she was very young. After earning her BA in Fine Arts Education, she taught art in the public schools in Pennsylvania for 30 years. She’s participated in numerous fine art shows throughout the northeast and along the east coast. In 2009, Ms. Lowcavage moved to South Carolina and was drawn to the natural beauty of the Lowcountry; the flowers, palms, birds, and beaches. Today, she can be found in Studio 5 at Public Works Art Center, where she is a resident studio artist.
