“The Hannah Quilt” pattern is beginner-friendly with blocks that are strip-pieced for simple construction. With instructions for a range of sizes from baby to king, this pattern provides the perfect blueprint to show off your preferred style. In class, we will construct a block using strip-piecing, and learn an easy quilt assembly method. Level: Beginner+ (knowledge of your own machine & the ability to sew 1 /4″” seam) Materials Needed: Sewing Machine, general sewing supplies (thread, machine needle, extra bobbin, stitch ripper, scissors, rotary cutter, mat, 6-1 /2 x 12-1 /2″” quilting ruler), “The Hannah Quilt” pattern by Kitchen Table Quilting, called for fabrics in your desired size found on the back of the pattern. “The Hannah Quilt” pattern may be purchased ahead of time at People, Places, and Quilts right next door! Meet the Teacher: Michelle Spell Michelle Spell, former English teacher turned fiber artist and pattern designer, has taught a variety of classes at People, Places and Quilts over the last seven years. She’s a fan of all styles from historical reproduction to modern interpretation. Known for her patience and “you be you” attitude, she’s always ready to teach a new skill or help someone refine an old one.
