Whimsical Doll Making Camp! For Teens: 7/9 & 10, 1-4:30pm

About this event

In this sculpture camp, students will design and build their own Coraline-inspired character dolls from start to finish. Campers will begin by sketching a character that represents themselves or a unique alter-ego. They will then learn how to construct a wire armature to create the doll’s internal structure and pose. Once the armature is complete, students will build up the form using paper mache and air-dry clay to sculpt the head, hands, and body details. Campers will explore basic sculpting techniques such as shaping facial features, smoothing surfaces, and adding personality to their figures. After the sculpture phase, students will bring their dolls to life by designing simple handmade clothing that reflects their own style or character design. They will learn beginner techniques for cutting, assembling, and layering fabric to create miniature outfits.
