US Webinar: Accelerated Outdoor Weathering Testing with the Q-TRAC Join Q-Lab for a live discussion on accelerated outdoor weathering testing with the Q-TRAC Natural Sunlight Concentrator. We will present on Thursday, 15, October at 8 am and 11 am ET. Outdoor weathering testing is the most realistic way to gain valuable information about how products will last when exposed to the elements. However, outdoor testing of highly durable materials can last 5, 10, even 20 years - longer than most product development cycles. Laboratory accelerated weathering testing is often used to bridge this gap with faster results, but correlation to real outdoor testing is still required to validate lab testing. One solution is the use of the Q-TRAC Natural Sunlight Concentrator from Q-Lab. This test instrument allows one to accelerate testing of highly weather-resistant products by delivering five times the ultraviolet (UV) light of a natural outdoor exposure while using the most realistic light spectrum available: the sun. This approach is ideal for materials like coil coatings, powder coatings, high-temperature plastics, roofing, and more. This live discussion will review: Outdoor materials weathering testing in Arizona The Q-TRAC natural solar concentrator design and technology Options for temperature control, water delivery, and specimen mounting Materials and failure modes suitable for Q-TRAC testing Case studies demonstrating correlation between accelerated and natural outdoor testing
