Public Safety Up Close: A Conversation with Michael De Leon

@ Public safety involves much more than responding to emergencies. It also requires communication, education, sound judgment, community trust, and the ability to navigate complex situations with care. Join fellow Rotarian Michael De Leon of the Travis County Constable’s Office for an informative conversation about public safety and the work of local law enforcement. A highly experienced trainer and educator, Michael brings extensive knowledge in areas including de-escalation, crisis response, mental health, negotiation, leadership, and community engagement. Through real-world insight and practical examples, Michael will help members better understand the responsibilities public-safety professionals carry, the preparation their work requires, and the importance of building strong relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The specific focus of the presentation will be announced as the event approaches. Guests are welcome to attend.
