About this event
One of 4 upcoming events at Saratoga Farmers' Market, and 1,593 across the Capital Region.
@ Learn how easy it is to turn peak-season produce into something delicious! Join Alyssa Hayes, Nutrition Educator with Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension, for a hands-on workshop exploring refrigerator pickling with three market favorites: beets, green beans, and cucumbers. Refrigerator pickling is a simple, quick way to preserve fresh vegetables in a flavorful vinegar brine—no canning required! Alyssa will walk participants through the basics while you get hands-on experience making quick pickles you can recreate at home. And the best part? You can pick up fresh beets, green beans, or cucumbers right at the farmers’ market and put your new skills to use at home! The workshop is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required. Email [email protected] to secure your spot.
