Paint & Create Summer Camp Week 3

Whether your child loves to paint, sculpt, or explore new artistic techniques, our camp offers a unique experience where they’ll create 2-4 awesome projects every day to take home and cherish. Every week will feature a fresh theme, from “All About Color” to “Nature’s Crafts” and everything in between. Our expert instructors will guide your child through each project, sparking their creativity and boosting their confidence. Each day will include at least one guided painting, plus the weekly themed arts and crafts below! Monday – Friday 1pm – 4pm Pricing Early bird | Register by April 18th | $225/wk per child (ages 6+) Regular bird | Register by May 31st | $245/wk Fashionably late bird | Register by June 20th | $285/wk Almost-clipped-a-wing bird | Register by June 27 – $305/wk Week 3: “The Sculptor’s Studio” Focusing on form, volume, and turning flat ideas into three-dimensional masterpieces. Day 1: Modern Wire Sculptures Projects: Creating “line drawings in the air” using aluminum wire to make animals or abstract shapes on wooden bases. Skill Focus: Pliability, structural balance, and using pliers/cutters. Day 2: Paper Mache Masks Projects: Using paper mache strips to create “molds” of decorative face masks (using plastic forms). Skill Focus: Texture smoothing, layering for strength, and patience during drying. Day 3: Miniature Room Boxes Projects: Transforming a small box into a “tiny room” using foam core, felt, and found objects to make miniature furniture. Skill Focus: Scale and proportion, precision cutting, and interior design. Day 4: Totem Poles Projects: Building tall, stacking sculptures using recycled cardboard and vibrant acrylic paint. Skill Focus: Slot-and-tab construction, vertical stability, and bold pattern design. Day 5: Mosaic Tile Stepping Stones Projects: Setting colorful glass gems, broken ceramics, and pebbles into quick-set cement or heavy-duty glue patterns. Skill Focus: Grouting (or faux-grouting), mosaic layout, and permanent outdoor art.
