About this event
One of 13 upcoming events at Shafer Leadership Academy.
Your words are only part of the message. What else are you communicating? In today’s increasingly virtual workplace, how you communicate online matters just as much as what you say. This session explores the concept of digital body language—how tone, timing, responsiveness, and messaging style shape perceptions in emails, chats, and video calls. Participants will gain practical strategies to communicate more clearly, build trust, and avoid common misunderstandings in digital environments. Learning Objectives Understand what your digital communication is really saying—even when you don’t intend it. Communicate with greater clarity and confidence in emails, chats, and virtual meetings to avoid misunderstandings and build trust. Create more engaging and connected virtual interactions that encourage participation and strengthen relationships. Cost: Free for SLA Members. $80 non-members, $60 non-profits. Individuals who are either unemployed or connected with an employer who is unable to pay can request scholarships for any of our programs.
