New Family Friday Youth Art Club

A NEW collaboration between Sigler Western Museum and Wickenburg Art Club for local students. Go beyond “snaps” and make photos that are meaningful and interesting! Do you want to create a quiet moment? A beautiful landscape? Take better selfies or pics of your friends? Do you want to show excitement or action? Make a good portrait of your pet? What can you do to tell your story to others? It’s easy to take a photo and run it through an app to make a fun, jazzy photo. But what can you do before you even get to that? In this workshop you will learn tricks of the trade that help you tell your own unique story. You will create images that have impact, meaning, and will capture the attention of others. We will have fun looking at and discussing photos, practice some easy techniques, and use your own vision to create true works of art. Workshop conducted by Donna Drake, B.A. Art – Photography, has taught photography to youth in the local area for several years and loves spreading the word on how to improve your photographs and find your vision.
