Today, it’s easy to go online and get a birds-eye view of the city of Springfield. We can look at how the city was organized fifty years ago, or a hundred years ago, based on maps that they made at the time. But what did Springfield look like during the Revolutionary War? How did its citizens think about their changing surroundings? Join archivist Tamsin Myers as she walks through the process of creating a 1776 map of Springfield from the original historic records. Presented by Tamsin Myers, Archivist, Wood Museum of Springfield History Library and Archives Image: Springfield: 1638-1886, by Mason A. Green. Join us in-person or online! If you plan to attend in person at the Museums, tickets are available on the day of the lecture in the Welcome Center. Members: FREE Springfield residents: $4 Nonmembers: $4 To attend via ZOOM, please register in advance. Online Registration
