DIY: Intro to Printmaking

Explore the art of printmaking in this hands-on workshop inspired by our summer exhibition, Printmaking and the Unconventional Pathways of African American Artists. Led by teaching artists at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, explore an eco-friendly and accessible printmaking technique that transforms recycled beverage cartons into richly textured printing plates. Using simple tools, you’ll learn how to design into Tetra Pak material, creating grooves that hold ink and produce beautifully detailed prints, with embossed textures and strong contrasts. All materials will be provided and participants will leave with their own unique prints. Class size is limited. Beginners encouraged!
