Looking for a meaningful way to spend a morning with your child or grandchild? Join us at The Aldrich for Co-Create, a NEW family art experience that begins with a shared exploration of the galleries followed by a hands-on art making workshop. This Saturday, families will be given step-by-step instructions on how to weave a tapestry on a loom using ribbons, yarn, and natural materials inspired by the artwork of The Aldrich Decennial artist Beck Lowry. This workshop also includes music and poetry and is a special opportunity for children and their families and caregivers to create art together. The activities are developed with a wide range of ages in mind (ages 4 and up) and designed to be collaborative in nature. The registration fee includes admission for one child and one adult, art materials, guided in-gallery group discussion, and a finished art project to take home. Family programming is supported by Michele Cotler Bronkesh and Noah Bronkesh.
