Join us for The Phillips Plays, our monthly family-friendly program. This fall, we invite kids and caregivers to explore the creative processes of artists in our permanent collection and special exhibitions. In November, experience Mark Rothko’s work up close in Avery, Gottlieb & Rothko: By the Sea. We will discuss how Rothko’s color choices make us feel and then select colors to form our own compositions. In addition to exploring art materials and methods in the studio, join a kid-friendly tour at 11 am or 12 pm or enjoy the carpeted, creative-play area with blocks, books, toys, and games.
