Join us for The Phillips Plays, our monthly family-friendly program. How do artists express friendship through their art? Learn more about the friendship between artists Milton Avery, Adolph Gottlieb, and Mark Rothko in the special exhibition, By the Sea, on kid-friendly tours at 11 am and 12 pm. Discover how these artists inspired and supported each other. Through an engaging art-making activity, we’ll explore how we can celebrate our friends through art. In addition to exploring art materials and methods in the studio, families may enjoy the carpeted, creative-play area with blocks, books, toys, and games. IMAGE: Milton Avery, Untitled (Rothko and March), 1934, Watercolor on paper, 15 x 22 in., Private collection Registration Open / In-Person Registration Open / Free / In-Person Registration Open / In-Person
