He is the Artistic Director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Renowned for his versatility, creativity, and infectious musical energy, McBride has collaborated across genres ranging from jazz and R&B to classical, hip-hop, and pop. As an educator, advocate for youth, broadcaster, and artistic director, he continues to shape the future of jazz while honoring its traditions. In Ursa Major, McBride is joined by four rising stars: saxophonist Nicole Glover, guitarist Ely Perlman, pianist Michael King, and drummer Savannah Harris.
