International opera star James Valenti has graced the world’s most iconic stages and now he’s coming to GLAZER HALL accompanied by pianist Cris Frisco! An acclaimed American operatic tenor celebrated for his radiant Italianate voice, elegant musicianship, and compelling stage presence, Valenti is a native of New Jersey and a current Palm Beach resident. James studied at West Virginia University, the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, and Westminster Choir College, where he also earned a master’s degree in voice pedagogy. He made his professional debut as Rodolfo in Franco Zeffirelli’s celebrated production of La bohème at the Rome Opera, launching an international career that has taken him to many of the world’s most prestigious opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Paris Opéra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Sydney Opera House, and Teatro Colón. His repertoire includes iconic tenor roles such as Rodolfo (La bohème), Alfredo (La traviata), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Don José (Carmen), Werther, Faust, and the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto). Valenti received the prestigious Richard Tucker Award in 2010, recognizing his exceptional contribution to opera. Beyond the stage, he is a passionate educator and humanitarian, mentoring young singers through masterclasses and supporting charitable organizations, including Children International. His artistry, vocal warmth, and enduring commitment to the operatic tradition have established James Valenti as one of America’s distinguished tenors of his generation.
