Table reservations $75, email [email protected] for details Born to Jamaican parents in Oakland, CA, Rastan is a singer, songwriter, producer, and audio engineer “From The Midtown With Love” (Santa Cruz, CA). His style of music was influenced by his father, Tito Caleto, a songwriter/vocalist from Kingston, Jamaica. Rastan began recording at 5 years old, singing background vocals for his father. By age 15, he went on to open up for Reggae heavyweights including Burning Spear, Damian Marley, Gregory Isaacs, and Beenie Man. His style of music is a balance between his Jamaican culture and California livin’, culminating in Rastan’s first record deal with Ineffable Records. In 2021, Rastan created Midtown Melodies, a California based production and music publishing company. Alongside his talented peers, they’re dedicating to the preservation of Reggae/Dancehall culture. “Santa Cruz, California-based musician Rastan is an amazing talent and his new album, “From The Midtown With Love” is a vibe showcasing the artist’s lyrical flow and vocals”. – Daily Reggae Album Review 2023 Founded in San Luis Obispo CA, True Zion has channeled their roots reggae sound from the influences of early foundation reggae artists to the contemporary reggae groups of this time. Each of its members apply their own unique style yet preserve elements of roots reggae music. Their musical qualities such as dub, heavy drum and bass, a powerful brass section and lively melodies fill the sound waves for all to hear. Grateful for every opportunity to share music, they have played on countless club, concert venue and festival stages that span across the Golden State. Since 2017, they have shared the stage with many touring artists such as Sly and Robbie, Israel Vibration, The Roots Radics, Bittie McLean, Groundation, Jesse Royal, Inna Vision, EN Young, Josh Heinrichs and many more. Themes of positivity, struggle, political turmoil, growth, and cultural uplift serve as the focal points in their music. Connect with the group on their website, social media platforms, and music distribution platforms to know of the next live performance and tune into their debut EP, “Seeking Reverence,” releasing Fall 2025 on all digital music platforms. Fronted by veteran vocalist Drew Gonzales, Looking East is the passion project and brainchild of producer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Kearney. Seamlessly blending profound songwriting with laid back coastal grooves, Looking East brings a more complex flavor to the cali reggae scene. Their debut album, due out January 2026, features genre heavy hitters and rising talent alike, including collaborations with Kash’d Out, Lot 49, Hunter The Oracle – formerly of Th3rd Coast Roots – and Indie darling Kip Nelson. Drew and Daniel had worked together over the years in various projects, but it wasn’t until 2024 that they launched Looking East, as Daniel shifted gears after years of relentless touring with alternative reggae act Cydeways to focus on studio work in his home in Goleta, California. In the 16 months since the duo released their first single with Ryan Viera of Lot 49 they’ve amassed over half a million streams and thousands of followers across various streaming and social media platforms. With Drew’s unparalleled vocal delivery and meticulous harmonies combining with Daniel’s seasoned artistry and production skills, Looking East burst onto the scene in late 2024 and as 2026 starts, their ascent continues with no end in sight. The time spent crafting their sound in the studio has led to a surge in support from reggae fans as the duo builds out their touring lineup planning to hit the road in the near future. With years of experience on the road, including playing for reggae legend Matisyahu and touring alongside the likes of Iya Terra, Iration, The Movement, DENM, The Elovators, and Eric Rachmany of Rebelution, the members of Looking East are no strangers to road life; and they’re ready to hit the ground running.
