Laurel Canyon was the birthplace of the California Sound, filled with harmonies of peace, love and musical innovation. Revel in the timeless melodies of The Mamas & The Papas, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and others. A program specially designed by our Principal Pops Conductor Evan Roider, remembering the music of his childhood. Young people know the music of Carole King from shows like Gilmore Girls; there is still nostalgia that exists with all this music that’s multigenerational. Of course, we have to feature Linda Ronstadt due to her connection with Tucson. She was such a star in her day!
