About this event
One of 57 upcoming events at Tucson Symphony Center.
TSO Artist-in-Residence Amaryn Olmeda returns following her spectacular season opener performance in September. The special chamber event opens with Jessie Montgomery’s Musings (for two violins) featuring TSO violinist Ludek Wojtkowski. Dvořák’s Terzetto in C Major is next, a piece written for a local student at the time and a professional violinist. The music turned out to be beyond the student’s capability, prompting Dvořák to adapt the composition into the famous Romantic Pieces. TSO patrons will experience the original piece, led by Olmeda, before the program wraps with Robert Schumann’s Piano Quartet. The TSO Up Close Series is generously sponsored by Minna Shah. Plan Your Visit This concert is available as part of a TSO Up Close Subscription. This concert will be presented without an intermission.
