Exploring Lake Michigan

The Waukegan Park District and the Waukegan Historical Society is hosting Exploring Lake Michigan on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 11am to 12pm at the Waukegan History Museum at the Carnegie, located at 1 N. Sheridan Road. This program is for all ages and preregistration is required. Learn about the Great Lakes and bodies of water! Participants will be introduces to engineering, technology and geographic features of the Great Lakes. There will be discussions about the issues facing the Great Lakes, including ecology, water quality and recreation. The fee to attend is $5 for residents and $10 for nonresidents.
