Traditional Indian Flavors with a Biomedical Perspective

In this class, we will make two Indian classics while exploring the chemical compounds and their biomedical effects. Daal is an amazing source of protein and a powerful immunity booster. Gajar Halwa is an excellent vegan, gluten-free dessert that will quench our seasonal sweet tooth. Bridging the wisdom of traditional flavors with modern science, we will delight our palate and uplift our health. Demonstration with limited hands-on opportunities. Recipes contain: tree nuts. Vegan. Tips for class attendees: Close-toed shoes, clothes that are not baggy or bulky, and long hair that is restrained are always good choices in the kitchen. Out of consideration for other guests, refrain from wearing colognes, perfumes, or anything else that may carry a strong odor. You will be in very close proximity to your fellow classmates. Please refer to the specific class description. Instructors encourage guests to engage and ask questions; however, please avoid holding side conversations that disrupt the class for others.
