Phase I Complete: Woony Adventure Park

After years of effort, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the Providence Parks Department, The Trust for Public Land, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, 1 PVD Cycling, and partners are excited to invite you to join us in celebrating the grand opening of Woonasquatucket Adventure Park! Located on a former brownfield, this 9.25 acre park has been transformed into a multi-benefit adventure park that connects thousands of Providence residents-especially teens – to the outdoors, and to unique recreational opportunities. The new park located, along the Woonasquatucket River Greenway, features a parkour course, a bicycle pump track, and a multi-use trail system. Native plants and rain gardens help clean stormwater and reduce flooding. Your presence at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will help us mark this very special milestone!
