The Army Historical Foundation invites Girl Scouts, Leaders, and Parents, to spend an evening at the National Museum of the United States Army to learn about how women served through 250 years of Army and American history with a special focus on the American Revolution as part of America250 celebrations. Participants have two program options: Evening Program + Dinner Only – $50 per person The evening program includes access to the galleries, dinner (served from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), and activities including the Museum’s G-STEM program Operation Safe Passage where participants learn how the Army utilizes Geography, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math for a simulated humanitarian mission. Overnight Program + Breakfast – $100 per person The overnight program includes access to the galleries, dinner (served from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), activities including the Museum’s G-STEM program Operation Safe Passage, plus an opportunity to spend the night at the Museum (in the third floor Veterans’ Hall) followed by breakfast with active duty and veteran women from different military services. Please note that while participation in Girl Scout Night will touch on activities related to STEM and Citizenship Girl Scout badges, there are no badge focused activities offered during the program. This program is hosted by The Army Historical Foundation, the non-profit organization for the Museum’s revenue generating operations and fundraising in support of the National Museum of the United States Army, and does not imply U.S. Army endorsement of the views expressed or the endorsement of any associated private and commercial entities. Schedules Saturday October 17th 6:00 p.m. – Doors Open for Check-In 6:00 p.m. – Dinner Available in 3rd Floor Veterans’ Hall 6:30 p.m. – Operation Safe Passage Rotation A (1hr) 7:30 p.m. – Operation Safe Passage Rotation B (1hr) 8:00 p.m. – Dinner Ends 8:30 p.m. – Operation Safe Passage Rotation C (1hr) 10:00 p.m. – Evening Program Ends. Evening program participants depart and overnight participants report to Veterans’ Hall. *Schedule is subject to change. Sunday October 18th 6:30 a.m. – Reveille. Participants pack up belongings and prepare for breakfast. 7:30 a.m. – Breakfast with Women Veterans. 8:45 a.m. – Breakfast Ends. 9:00 a.m. – Participants depart. Participants are welcome to re-enter Museum once belongings are stowed. Please note that reentering the Museum will require Security Screening. *Schedule is subject to change.
