Meet Me At The Park: Public Address

MEET ME AT THE PARK: PUBLIC ADDRESS Wednesday, September 23, 2026 5:00 – 7:00 PM • At Joyce Kilmer Park Free • For All Ages • Optional RSVP Beginning in summer 2026, The Bronx Museum began extending its programming beyond its walls and into public spaces through Meet Me At The Park! For this iteration of Meet Me At The Park, all are invited to Joyce Kilmer Park to celebrate the opening of Public Address by Alex Strada in The Bronx. Public Address is an art installation that platforms the writing and drawings of people living or working in shelters on official signage produced by the New York City Department of Transportation. The Bronx borough presentation of Public Address is presented in partnership by The Bronx Museum, Storefront for Art and Architecture, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and the NYC Department of Homeless Services. The Meet Me At The Park: Public Address program will feature remarks by the artist and project partners, and an official ribbon-cutting inaugurating the installation. In addition to the signs on view at Joyce Kilmer Park, Public Address features small signs in every community board district of The Bronx, including inside and outside The Bronx Museum.
