SCA Roasting Skills

DESCRIPTION The SCA Roasting Skills module covers the coffee roasting production process and is instructed onsite at our Coffee Project NY roasting facility. Students will learn the SCA curriculum hands-on with our San Franciscan roasters. CURRICULUM The physical changes beans undergo during the roast process and the factors that affect them Measuring and analyzing roast cycles, levels, and defects How to properly cup and evaluate sample roasts Workspace management, production efficiency, and operations Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certification classes consist of lectures, hands-on skill training, exam review, and some applicable exams.
