On Daisy

One of 10 upcoming events at JCC Coffee Shop, and 846 across Rochester.

From JCC Coffee Shop

Tuesdays *10:00am- 12pm: Erdle Lounge All skill levels are welcome. Please know how to play the game. Please bring your own card. There are no instructors; this is for play only. Anyone who wants to watch the game should ask if it is ok to do so. If you are at table of four and there are two others wanting to play then one of the four should offer to leave that group to make two tables of three. We cannot guarantee that there will be a group to play with; you may want to bring a friend or a group of friends! If you have a mah jongg set, please bring it as we have limited number of sets available. No food or beverages on the mah jongg mats Registration is not required but you will be asked to sign in. All players are asked to follow the JCC Group Norms JCC Group Norms for clubs The Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester asks all groups, classes and clubs to adhere to the JCC values. Kehillah/Community Hachnasat Orchim/Welcome + Belonging Chesed/Compassion Kavod/Honor+ Respect Shmirat HaGuf/Being Our Best Selves Our community is built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and respected. These shared norms help us create a space where people can connect, learn, and belong. The People: Whether you're a facilitator, instructor, volunteer, or participant, we all help create a positive experience by: Greeting people warmly as they arrive. Making a special effort to welcome new faces. Encouraging participation while honoring each person's comfort level. Treating one another with kindness, compassion, and respect. Helping create an environment where everyone feels included and valued The Space: Let's take care of the spaces we share by: Returning tables and chairs to their original arrangement if you move them. Starting on time (a five-minute grace period is perfectly okay). Waiting until your scheduled time to start. Finishing on time so the next group or cleaning staff can prepare the space. Taking any trash or recycling with you before you leave. Returning JCC equipment (water pitchers, mah jong sets, cards, paint brushes, etc.) where you found it. Together, we create a community where everyone feels welcome, respected, and empowered to participate. By practicing these norms, we strengthen our relationships, enrich our programs, and help every person experience a true sense of belonging.
