This workshop will give you the chance to design your own transit system for a fictional city with real world circumstances. Will you prioritize getting students to school? Will your highest frequency route extend to the suburbs? What happens when elected leaders want you to focus on a large, attention-getting event for tourists? This workshop covers topics transit planners have to think through every day: network design, frequency, land use, right-of-way, operations costs, equity, and access.
