Instructor: Tara Jon Manning (tarajonmanning.com) Ages: young adult, adult Class Size: Minimum 2, Maximum 8 Prerequisite: None; class is designed for beginner and open to all levels Description: Needle Felting is the creation of felt fabric using friction from a barbed tool (felting needle) binding fibers together. In this one session class, learn needle felting techniques as you create a miniature needle felted landscape. Learn about preparing fibers and fabrics for felting and explore applications and methods of felt. Using colorful hand dyed wool roving, scraps and a base fabric layer, we will use the felting needle to position design elements and add detail and texture to create a mini landscape. One session.
